Manual Handling and Dental Ergonomics
This course provides essential information on Manual Handling Regulations in line with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations and the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
It will enable the dental team to assess the manual handling risks associated with dentistry and understand how to prevent work related musculoskeletal disorders.
Training objectives:

Learn about employers’ responsibilities in ensuring safe working practices Identify potential risks and hazards related to manual handling

Explore control measures to prevent or minimise injury

Recognise ergonomic issues commonly found in dental practice settings

Understand correct workstation setup, including VDU (Visual Display Unit) arrangement and risk assessment
