Basic Life Support, AED and Anaphylaxis for GP Practices
This hands-on, in-house course equips your team with theessential knowledge and practical skills needed torespond effectively to cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, andchoking incidents within a GP practice. The trainingincludes practical CPR instruction and guidance on thesafe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
The Resuscitation Council UK recommends that healthcare professionals refresh their resuscitation knowledge and skills atleast once a year
Training objectives:

Identify the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest

Become familiar with specialist emergency equipment

Understand the role of oxygen during CPR

Learn how to assess a patient using the Primary Survey (DRABC)

Perform Basic Life Support for both adults and children

Understand the importance of early defibrillation

Recognise the signs, symptoms, and treatment of anaphylaxis

Learn how to manage a choking patient
