Basic Life Support, AED and Anaphylaxis for GP Practices

This hands-on, in-house course equips your team with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively to cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, and choking incidents within a GP practice. The training includes practical CPR instruction and guidance on the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

 

The Resuscitation Council UK recommends that healthcare professionals refresh their resuscitation knowledge and skills at least once a year

Training objectives:

  • Identify the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest

  • Become familiar with specialist emergency equipment

  • Understand the role of oxygen during CPR

  • Learn how to assess a patient using the Primary Survey (DRABC)

  • Perform Basic Life Support for both adults and children

  • Understand the importance of early defibrillation

  • Recognise the signs, symptoms, and treatment
