Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice

This training covers the recognition, management, and treatment of common medical emergencies in line with current BNF guidance. It includes a practical component to ensure full team engagement and confidence in responding to real-life situations.

 

Training Objectives:

  • Review the procedures, equipment, and therapeutic management of common medical emergencies

  • Understand and demonstrate the recovery position

  • Assess patients using both the Primary and Secondary Survey

  • Recognise the importance of accurate clinical record-keeping and effective patient handover
