This course will cover how to recognise the signs, symptoms and treatment of common Medical Emergencies as per the BNF and comprises of a practical element to engage the whole team.

It meets the CQC requirements for medical emergencies:
regulation 12: safety of care and treatment
regulation 17: good governance
Training Objectives:

Review the procedures, equipment and therapeutic treatment of common medical

emergencies

Review when to seek medical assistance

Review the Recovery Position

Review the importance of accurate clinical records

Review the handover process to the paramedics

Assess patient using the Primary Survey (DRABC) and Secondary Survey (DE)
